This is the dude right here. Straight out of Juaritos, Chih. Mexico this vato just finished one of El Chucos/Juaritos most beautiful murals at the foot of the La Puente Santa Fe. Wow! With the help from the talented Gera Luz and many other hermanos y hermanas, WERC finished this beautiful mixed media mural. Mosaics, Acrylic, Aerosol and LED lighting this is my new favorite bike ride destination. What a blessing, we are fortunate to have this. Thanks to the spirit.

Andrew Joseph Perez and I collaborated on this run-and-gun video promo for Tabla Restaurant in Downtown Union Plaza. Came out pretty sick. All the footage was shot and edited by Andrew. I did some directing and simple motion graphics.

The Joker is Wild.

My primo Antonio “Tone-Loc” Legarreta had his 19th birthday two weeks after being laid up in the hospital. When I went to visit him he asked me for a drawing of the Joker. I drove up to Las Cruces this past weekend to play some washas and drink some tequila with the family and brought this present wrapped in kraft paper. This is really one of the first mainstream comic book character interpretations I’ve done. What better character to do than Batman’s nemesis the Joker. I took some inspiration from Brian Azzarello’s and Alan Moore’s interpretation, with some Eduardo Risso shadow simplification, a rough Hard-Boiled line, and a dash of Heath Ledger for respect. This is a one of kind brush and ink illustration. I’m thinking about doing a limited run of three color silk screens.

At The Drive-In / Zechs

I had the glorious honor of making posters for the At The Drive-In / Zechs Marquise El Paso show. This whole project from concept to print was a 24hr turn-around, so I had to go with something minimal. What could go wrong…Homies, Hornitos, Modelo, Printmaking, and a banging show to go to later. We finished a few hours before the show and Christian Pardo made some amazing pizza from scratch. Good day and something to show for it. Thanks to Raydub Cardenas (Maintain) for hooking up the positives and his Hulk Hogan pull on the screenprinting, Filipino Ninja printmaker. Maintain Crew came hard, Julian “Cassanova” Quiambao, Raydub Dizzle the Hulk Hogan Asian, The Blessed Christian Pardo, Eureka the “Funswinger” Butcher, and myself. Holler!
